The COMMERCIAL  Dodge Ram 2500, 3500, 4500 & 5500 are the leader 's in the heavy duty truck segment. No matter how you look at it inside or out Dodge comes out on top. When comparing gas engines, the legendary 5.7 L gas Hemi goes 0 to 60, faster than Ford or Chevy with or without a load. All the while getting up to 16% better fuel economy. The Cummins 6.7 L diesel is an optional power plant for our trucks, rated no 1 by (MOTOR TREND). You get 90 years of reliability with the straight 6 in line Cummins engine, similar to Big Rig Semi Trucks. A cast Iron block and head vs aluminum  for Ford and Chevy, which also have 50% more moving parts and plastic, than the Cummins. The Ram truck itself has a boxed in frame for the body, Ford is  a weaker C frame body. Ram 2500 has 5 leaf springs, Ford has 3 on the F250. While towing 10k lbs on the same trucks the turning radius is 7 feet smaller on the Ram. The integrated Exhaust Braking system on Dodge Ram stops 50% quicker than the Ford. You have to replace brake pads on the Ford three times more than the Dodge. Perhaps the biggest headache is the UREA INJECTION or Diesel Exhaust Fluid. You don't have it on the Ram 2500 or 3500 but you do on the Ford and Chevy. Your performance goes down on the competition and maintenance costs goes up. The TRUCK TREND Link below has more.
